   Résumé
   Un auteur américain de bandes dessinées se rend à Paris où un hommage lui est consacré. Il y retrouve sa fille. Mais il doit faire face à l'impression d'étrangeté que lui procure la France et à sa propre situation d'étranger. Une aventure intellectuelle en forme de comédie, dans laquelle Resnais rend hommage à une certaine culture populaire qu'il affectionne.
